Person of Interest: The Complete Fourth Season (DVD)

All eyes are on PERSON OF INTEREST as it returns for a fourth phenomenal season, after the team suffered a devastating loss in the last season. Although they've saved countless lives thanks to The Machine's omniscience, John Reese (Jim Caviezel) and Harold Finch (Michael Emerson), along with lethal operative Sameen Shaw (Sarah Shahi) and unpredictable cyber-hacker Root (Amy Acker) now face an uncertain future. With a second machine - Samaritan - now online, the elusive team are now targets themselves, hiding in plain sight. The only thing more frightening than the ruthless Decima organization calling the shots is leaving those decisions up to an untested Machine. Facing a dangerous tomorrow, the POI team must find a way to outsmart Samaritan, an all-seeing, all-powerful artificial intelligence that's self-governing, continually evolving and growing stronger every day.

Review :
5 Stars, hopefully the network sticks with it.
Looking for a show to watch ever since I finished watching Fringe(One of the best shows ever)and 24, I was looking for anything that even sort of caught my interest and this show got me instantly. Firstly, it wasn't so much the idea of the show that got me, it was Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson. I loved Jim Caviezel as Jesus Christ, and Michael Emerson as the enigmatic Benjamin Linus in Lost. Looking at both of these guys and their work, they've been in a lot of stuff. So, I decided to give it a try. To be honest it didn't take long. Into the first episode, Mr. Reese who's played by Jim Caviezel is a bum riding a train. These punk kids try to take this bums liquor bottle away and all of a sudden he goes international spy on em'. That's it, I was in.
The whole premise of the show begins when Michael Emerson, who plays the tech wiz Harold Finch, arranges a meeting with Mr. Reese so he can hire him. Mr. Finch built this massive surveillance machine that records everyone all the...
Very addictive
I hate to review this show because I may not be able to do it justice. However, here goes...I love it, couldn't wait until it came on and will watch it again and again to glean every little nuance of meaning. I've binge watched seasons one through three ceaselessly until this moment. Is that good enough?

How will they do it?
No gratuitous sex or graphic nudity and no vacuous blondes or muscle bound heroes with cringe-worthy dialogue. The plots in this show are intriguing. The actors are entertaining and you care about what happens to their characters.

I confess I would never have thought Jim Caviezel (John) and Michael Emerson (Harold) would make effective protagonists in a show like this, but what a great combination they are. One of those "lightening in a bottle" casting decisions you're so glad has been made whether it was on purpose or accidental or a little of both. Happily their satellite characters are as entertaining a group as you'll find, each with his/her own set of quirks. All together, this ensemble cast takes you from humor through great sadness. Better yet the show has wonderfully interesting villains. They seem to range from shades of mildly bad to "I want to see this guy get squashed like a bug" evil.

In the end the "good" guys...
